The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five miles south of Charlotte, NC, seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in History and African American Studies beginning August 16, 2024.

The position will normally require the teaching of twelve credit hours per semester or its equivalent. In addition to teaching foundational history and African American studies courses for freshman and sophomore students, there are opportunities to teach upper-division courses in the University’s Palmetto College bachelor’s degree programs.

 Scholarship, advising, and university/community service are expected. Preference will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience.
