The Director leads a team of professional academic advisors who connect students to university resources that assist in the promotion of their health and well-being while planning for their educational goals. This position will advance the value of holistic advising in the development of each student’s potential with a commitment to social justice. In addition to the day-to-day leadership of the advising center, and because of the complex issues facing students who come to college, the Director must coordinate University advising efforts with stakeholders across campus (e.g., disability access, career services, student case management services, and academic support services).
The Director contributes to the implementation and application of a customer relationship management (CRM) system utilized for proactive and responsive advising required for effective educational planning. The position monitors and evaluates program and fiscal performance objectives while maintaining the flow of accurate and detailed data.
