Professor of American Sign Language/Interpreting

At a minimum, the selected candidate must satisfy ONE of the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Deaf Studies, Deaf Education, ASL Linguistics, ASL Studies, ASL Teaching, ASL/English Interpreting or Sign Language Interpretation or at least 18 credits in one of the prior listed disciplines and two (2) years of experience in ASL teaching/training.
• A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in an unrelated discipline and at least ONE of the following: an industry recognized ASL teaching credential OR five (5) years of experience in ASL teaching/training.
• A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Deaf Studies, Deaf Education, ASL Linguistics, ASL Studies, ASL Teaching, ASL/English Interpreting or Sign Language Interpretation or at least 18 credits in one of the prior listed disciplines and at least ONE of the following: an industry recognized sign language interpreting credential OR two (2) years of experience in interpreting and/or interpreting teaching/training.
