About the Opportunity:
The Salesforce Business Analyst & Training Manager reports to the AVP of Employer Engagement & Career Design and will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and maximizing the use of Salesforce.com in support of evolving business needs for the Educational Innovation (EI) organization.

Responsibilities:
S/he will work on a variety of Salesforce projects and initiatives encompassing all enterprise applications, including the configuration, implementation, integration and troubleshooting of Salesforce.com for EI. S/he will facilitate business process review and application prototyping sessions as well as providing business process analysis and insight into best practice methodologies. S/he will provide direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts. S/he will manage and implement a portfolio of key projects across all departments for EI to ensure the adoption and sustainability of Salesforce.com as the primary customer relationship management platform for business development initiatives across the organization. S/he will work collaboratively with organizational leaders, directors & developers to define and manage all changes related to Salesforce.com for the EI organization. S/he will manage the development of reports for all business development and customer relationships. Also provide training and documentation in the use of Salesforce.com for EI business needs. And s/he will represent EI in the Salesforce.com user community to take part in a forum for ideas & issues focused on the product or data at Northeastern University.

S/he will be the primary contact and problem-solver for issues and concerns related to the Salesforce product, and will be the primary liaison with the vendor. S/e will also audit, manage and ensure security for all EI Salesforce.com related activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Functional, Data, or Business Analyst, planning & implementing technology, troubleshooting, working with vendors, & training staff, required.

  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in the implementation, start-up, and management of Salesforce.com as a CRM solution.

  • Excellent analytic skills and the judgment to make effective decisions on courses of action needed to transform defined business needs into software requirements. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data management.

  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com; Salesforce ADM 201 certification is a must.

  • Knowledge of relational database reporting tools such as Tableau, Oracle Reports or MS Access, required.

  • Fluency with planning tools such as Jira, MS-Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.

  • Experience with any or all of the following highly desirable: a working knowledge of the Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA), Ellucian Banner, college admissions, CRM, financial reporting, PL/SQL, portal, accounting, human resources systems.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, management, & collaboration skills. Must have customer service focus.

  • Ability to work effectively with managers and staff, others in the Salesforce user community, and ITS personnel.

  • Strong compliance and business process skills.
