NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

Position Summary:

 

The Department of Psychology, within the College of Arts and Sciences at Washington State University invites applications for a permanent, full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Pullman, WA, in the area of Clinical Psychology, with emphasis in Neuropsychology or Geropsychology preferred. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the appointment on August 16, 2024.

 

Job duties: The job duties for this position include developing and maintaining a productive research program, seeking appropriate grant funding, mentoring graduate student research, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses on topics in psychology (e.g., foundations of neuropsychology, assessment practicum, psychology and aging), and collaborating with members of other departments and programs. The workload for this position is 40% teaching, 40% research,  and 20% service.

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Completed doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited Clinical Psychology program by August 16, 2024. Demonstrated record of or potential for developing a strong research program and obtaining grant funding. Proven or potential for successful teaching and instruction.  Demonstrated record of or potential for commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous postdoctoral experience of at least 12 months. Previous experience supervising clinical assessments.

Salary/Benefits:  $78,000-$84,000 per nine-month academic year

 

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
