The English Department at Trinity College seeks to hire a creative
writer (open genre) as our next Artist-in-Residence, beginning Fall
2024. The Artist will teach 2-3 Creative Writing courses in the
Department and will also teach in and serve as the coordinator for
the InterArts Gateway, an interdisciplinary program for first-year
students drawing on music, art, theater & dance, film studies,
and creative writing. MFA or PhD in English Literature, Creative
Writing, or related field required by start of appointment;
teaching experience, and publications required. Competitive salary
and benefits. Appointment for an initial term of three years with
possibility of renewal every five years thereafter.

creative work and approaches to teaching, including your approach
to teaching to students from diverse backgrounds; and a writing
sample of no more than 25 pages. Applicants will also be asked to
list contact information for reference providers, including email
