LECTURER IWomen’s and Gender Studies Program (WGS) (2 openings), to perform the duties of a full-time lecturer with full benefits.  Will teach courses in your area of specialization and WGS core courses such as Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS.101) and Feminist Thought (WGS.301). Responsibilities include teaching three courses each semester, course creation, interacting with students, curriculum revision and improvement, interacting with the program and Registrar’s office, and overseeing student thesis projects.  The standard teaching load is six courses per year. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: master’s degree and at least three years of teaching or teaching assistantship experience in a relevant discipline in the humanities, social sciences, or related transdisciplinary fields. PREFERRED:  graduate training in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies and/or a strong interdisciplinary background, and a research portfolio.  Job #23339

These are three-year appointments beginning July 1, 2024, with the possibility of indefinite renewals based on favorable performance reviews.
