Job Description

Work directly with students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers to support the services and mission of the office and to aid in student success. Correspond with employers regarding job and internship leads for students/alumni and communicate effectively with employers. Respond to all email inquiries from campus partners, faculty, students and employers and provide accurate and timely information. Handle accounts payable, supplies ordering, and fiscal processing. Work on special projects including the career fairs and employer events.

  • Work directly with students, employers, faculty and staff.
  • Handle all fiscal processing for career fairs, career events and other related programming.
  • Enter data into electronic files, databases, and spreadsheets. Input, revise, store, and retrieve correspondence on computer.
  • Work with PeopleSoft, Handshake and other proprietary software that supports office.
  • Support projects, events and related Career Services activities.
  • Assist campus partners with student employment job postings.
  • Support social media marketing to promote office programming to students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Works under general supervision and manages own workload.
  • May mentor and supervise student employees.
  • Bachelor’s degree, customer service experience and working proficiency of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required; fiscal processing experience preferred.
  • Career Services or Higher Education experienced preferred.

40 hours/week during office hours (M-Th 8am-6pm; F 8am-4:30pm)

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, customer service experience, and working proficiency of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fiscal processing experience preferred.
  • Career Services or Higher Education experienced preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $20.00 - $21.50 Hourly
Grade: GGS-7
