Lecturer of Operations Management: The University of Tennessee at Martin, College of Business and Global Affairs (CBGA), Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems is seeking applications for a one-year Lecturer position in Operations Management, or related field, with the possibility of future yearly appointments. The position is open to applicants with a terminal degree in an area of credential appropriate to fulfill respective teaching responsibilities. Applicants with ABD within three years of completion of the doctorate will be considered. The start date for the hire will be August 1, 2024. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until an applicant has been selected. To be eligible for initial review by the search committee, all application materials must be submitted by January 16, 2024.

Courses to be taught include, but are not limited to:  Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Management Science, Service Operations, and Quantitative Analysis. This is a nine-month appointment position. Summer teaching is optional and will depend on student demand; however, online teaching and distance learning (DL), especially for/to the outlying University Centers, is expected. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, advising, research, outreach activities, participation in curriculum/program development, assessment, service, and maintaining faculty qualification in accordance with the college’s AACSB accreditation standards. The candidate should also be able to work collegially with faculty/staff and have the willingness and ability to provide service to the institution, profession, and community.

UT Martin College of Business and Global Affairs is AACSB accredited. The University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) is a primary campus in the University of Tennessee System. The campus is located in Northwest Tennessee, approximately 125 miles north of Memphis and 150 miles west of Nashville.  UTM has a combined graduate and undergraduate enrollment of approximately 7,000 students. The emphasis is solidly on excellence in undergraduate instruction.  The CBGA is seeking candidates who demonstrate a similar commitment.
