The Department of Human Studies in the School of Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) (https://www.uab.edu/education/home/graduate/counseling) invites applications for appointment to a 9-month tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin August 2024. Salary and terms of appointment are commensurate with prior experience. A successful candidate must have an earned doctorate from a CACREP accredited counseling program (or have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year), must have an LPC credential and LPC-eligible in Alabama with a strong MCF professional identity or LMFT credential and LMFT-eligible in Alabama, have professional development and renewal activities related to Marriage, Couples, and Family counseling, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and service/leadership.
