The School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) is seeking nominations and applications for senior-level tenured (professor or associate professor) faculty with outstanding research programs in any area of Kinesiology. Several positions are available including the School’s only named endowed faculty position. Candidates will be expected to maintain a robust, ongoing research program, secure and sustain extramural funding for an active research program at the University, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor students at various levels. Candidates for the endowed chair position should additionally demonstrate the capacity to represent the School across campus and beyond in a positive, professional, and collaborative manner; leadership in facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations; and an ability to work or collaborate across programs in the School or in other units in novel ways.

Requirements include a doctoral degree in a related field, along with an outstanding record of performing cutting-edge research and producing high quality/high impact publications. Candidates should also demonstrate a consistent and ongoing record of securing research funding consistent with the expectations of the subdiscipline, as well as experience and skill in providing leadership that will advance the scholarly excellence of the Applied Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Movement Science or Sport Management Program in the School. Proven success with contributing to a positive workplace culture is necessary.
