Full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 2024.
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be teaching applied percussion and
related areas (percussion methods, chamber music, literature,
pedagogy) to undergraduate music majors and minors. Secondary
teaching responsibilities will be commensurate with departmental
needs and candidate's qualifications (music history preferred).
Recruit outstanding students. Committee service, student advising,
and research/creative activity obligations are consistent with all

Requirements: Demonstrated success as a performing
artist and teacher of percussion. Ability to conduct/coach
percussion ensemble and teach percussion methods class for music
education majors. Ability to teach in a secondary academic area
commensurate with the departmental needs (music history preferred).
Experience teaching in an undergraduate collegiate setting is
desirable, as is the ability to teach various styles (jazz, drum
set, marching percussion, etc).
