Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be teaching applied trombone and related areas (chamber music, literature, pedagogy) to undergraduate music majors and minors. Secondary teaching responsibilities will be commensurate with departmental needs and candidate's qualifications (music history preferred). The candidate will be expected to recruit outstanding students, serve on committees, advise students, and engage in research/creative activity consistent with all faculty appointments.

Minimum Education Requirements:
Doctoral Degree in Trombone or related field required. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Demonstrated success as a performing artist and teacher of trombone/bass trombone. Ability to teach in a secondary academic area commensurate with the departmental needs (music history preferred). Ability to conduct and/or coach chamber ensembles.
