Salary for Announcement:
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $49,900 - $62,400. The full salary range is $49,900 - $74,900.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

- Create, negotiate, and write leases and contracts for goods and services, as well as Memoranda of Understanding, Affiliation Agreements, and various other contractual agreements for the campus community. Review and/or approve purchases by University departments that involve vendor terms & conditions.
- Negotiate with vendors, users, and professional groups concerning terms and conditions, pricing, and goods/services to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and University requirements and for general legal sufficiency while achieving agency goals.
- Inform and advise campus faculty and staff on purchasing and contracting policies and procedures.
- In exercising these duties, this position will be required to exercise independent analysis, interpretation, and judgment to ensure that contract documents sufficiently protect the interests of the University and the State and that the University is receiving the best value possible while maintaining the legal integrity of the contract.
- Act as backup for other Business Services staff members, including entering work orders in Workday; creating and updating vendors in Workday.
- Assisting with State Fleet/Motorpool requests
- Maintain and update the Workday role assignments, which includes verifying employment status and authority of employees seeking signatory authority and those approving the authority. These roles are used to determine who is authorized to make purchases and approve payments throughout the University.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university *(or a combination of education and experience completing and drafting contracts and/or other procurement support documents (one year of education is equal to two years of related experience).
- One year of professional experience drafting, negotiating or reviewing contracts and/or other procurement documents or working in contract administration, contract management, or procurement. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Colorado State or other governmental contracting or purchasing experience
- Experience working in collaboration with others to complete tasks or projects
- Ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract language
- Experience developing statements of work
- Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented, ensure accuracy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook, or similar software
- Experience working in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Workday, and particularly Workday Procurement
