This position provides personal Wellness coaching for College of
Medicine and Life Sciences students on an individual and group
level, based on the 8 pillars of Wellness. The Wellness coach will
develop outreach programs for students to foster emotional
intelligence, resiliency, growth mindset, and self-care as a
current student and future healthcare provider. Programs can
address both personal and social issues by interviewing and
assessing student’s needs and develop next steps, which can include
referrals to other service providers at UToledo counseling center,
UTMC behavioral health and outside providers.
Experience with working in high stress environments.
Experience leading both small and large group activities.
3+ years’ experience working with a diverse student
3+ years working in an educational setting.
Required Education/Experience/Licensing: Bachelor’s degree in
education, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
Required Communication and other skills:
Ability to multi-task
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with young adults.
Experience working with graduate and professional students.
Master’s degree in education, Higher Education, Social Work, School
