The Watkins College of Art at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning 8/1/24.

Job functions:

The primary job responsibilities for this position include a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses in design and collaborating with design and art faculty to grow and develop the BFA in Experiential Design. The successful candidate will exhibit:
  • Thorough understanding of current and emerging interactive design theories and technologies
  • Capacity to apply design theories in traditional and motion-based media
  • Applied experience in UX/UI, human-centered design and research, web, and mobile platforms (Human-Computer Interaction)
  • Ability to teach beginning to advanced web based classes
Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service.). Ph.D., M.F.A. or progress toward a terminal degree is required; teaching experience strongly preferred.
