Expertise in the following substantive areas is preferred, but not required: aging, racism and inequality, poverty, substance use and misuse, integrated health care, social determinants of health and health equity, vulnerable children and families, child welfare, school social work and the health and well-being of historically marginalized groups. Candidates with methodological and analytical skills in areas of strength and growth at SSSW (e.g., intervention science, implementation science, community-based participatory methods, data science and prevention, digital social work), and those with expertise in practice working with diverse populations are preferred.

The Silver School of Social Work (SSSW) is an international leader in social work research and education and offers outstanding support for scholarship. Located in Greenwich Village on Washington Square Park and in one of the world’s great urban research universities, the SSSW is one of the 14 schools and colleges of NYU, the largest private university in the USA, with students from all 50 states and more than 100 nations.
