POSITION SUMMARY: The instructor facilitates
meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum
and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment.
They provide education through learning-centered instruction that
will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the
marketplace. They encourage a culture of learning that values
mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics as
well as personal and professional development. The Chair of the
Admissions Committee is responsible for oversight of all admissions
processes of the South University‐ Physician Assistant Program. The
Principal Faculty will work with the Program Director to ensure
that the program meets all ARC‐PA accreditation standards
pertaining to fair practices other admissions related standards.
The Principal Faculty should work in synergy with their counterpart
at PA programs on other South University campuses.

leads all Admissions Committee meetings (to be held at least
all admissions academic processes to include submission of all
proposals for admissions requirements/policy changes, oversight of
annual admissions cycle, serving as admissions subject matter
expert for the program.

admissions report as a component of the program’s ongoing

input to assist with accreditation activities, as well as ongoing
program evaluation and mission statement review.

activities appropriate to the role of a Principal Faculty
in faculty development opportunities each year as required in the
areas of teaching and academic administration.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge:
Degree as a Physician Assistant; Current NCCPA Certification and
State Licensure as a PA.
years academic experience highly preferred; 3 years clinical
