Job Description

We are accepting applications for a Research Specialist II in the Department of Plant Science and Technology. The successful candidate will be part of a research team working on expanding basic biology of insect pests of corn. Duties will include leading industry-funded projects and assisting in projects using a multidisciplinary effort applying multiomic approaches to corn insect management. The employee will assist with insect colony rearing and perform other tasks as assigned.

Salary

Salary Range: $17.96 - $33.18 per hour,

Grade: GGS-008

Shift

Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with insects and plants is preferred.
