National Arts-Education Nonprofit seeks full-time Regional Program Liaison - New York City
The Regional Liaison is a dynamic and inspiring leader who will work directly with schools and teachers participating in the organization’s Partner School and Student Wellness programs. The Regional Liaison will also collaborate in designing new content aligned within the organization’s Student Wellness program.
Our organization empowers teachers and engages students by using popular music to create interdisciplinary, culturally responsive education materials for all 21st-century classrooms. Our K-12 curriculum integrates arts throughout all academic content areas, student wellness, and more. These resources offer engaging and meaningful material, to teachers, students, and families.
Duties
- Assist with development and delivery of professional development sessions both in-person and virtually
- Design new content aligned with Student Wellness program
- Cultivate relationships with district and school-level staff
- Support the development of new partnerships
- Some travel to conferences and school sites
Requirements
- Credentialed teaching experience in New York City Public Schools or equivalent large district
- Working knowledge of SEL and CASEL Framework
- Flexibility, initiative, excellent communication skills
- Familiarity and comfort operating within equity and culturally responsive informed frameworks
- Love of music
Desired
- Experience in developing and leading teacher professional development sessions
- Masters of Education
- Experience working with a nonprofit organization
- Fluency in a second language
- Professional experience in working with diverse learners, including English Learners and/or students received specialized support
