Position Summary:
The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to start in August 2024. The area of research is open, but preference will be given to candidates with expertise in data mining and machine learning. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required by August 2024. Demonstrated success or evidence of potential to excel in teaching and advising undergraduates is essential, as is ongoing scholarly productivity and institutional service. Evidence of a strong commitment to pedagogies that foster diversity and inclusion is required. Teaching duties will include the entire range of computer science courses. The course load is 3 courses per semester.
Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required by August 2024.
Preferred Qualifications:
The area of research is open, but preference will be given to candidates with expertise in data mining and machine learning.
