JOB TITLE:
Open Rank Professor - Finance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position in Finance beginning Fall 2024. We invite applicants with qualifications to teach and conduct research in any finance discipline.
Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the strong teaching reputation of the department's faculty and publish high-quality peer-reviewed research in finance and closely related fields.

The College of Business
The University of Wyoming College of Business ( http://www.uwyo.edu/business/ ) is AACSB accredited and is located in a state-of-the-art, Leeds-certified building. The College currently offers undergraduate degrees in management, marketing, professional sales, accounting, entrepreneurship, economics, and finance. The College offers a Master of Business Administration degree, Masters degrees in accounting, economics, and finance, and Ph.D. degrees in marketing and economics. It is one of 11 member schools of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative College Program.
The Department of Accounting and Finance
The Department of Accounting and Finance offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in each discipline. The Finance faculty have published in high-quality journals such as Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Review of Finance, and Journal of Corporate Finance.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field in hand by start date of employment
- Demonstrated potential for research publication in high-quality finance journals
- Three or more years of university teaching experience in finance or having completed a Ph.D. within the last three years
- Evidence of ongoing high-quality research productivity
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CFP, CPA, etc.)
- Commitment to departmental, college, university, and professional service
- Completed online application including the following:

- Evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Recent scholarly publications or working papers
