Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant Department: Finance & Accounting / Business Office Location: Washington, DC

Sidwell Friends, a co-educational, PK-12 Quaker day school with campuses located in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD, seeks a part-time Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant for the Business Office. The Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a full range of accounting and administrative support to the Business Office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, filing, scanning and sorting documents for archiving, preparing shipments for documents to be archived, distributing and emailing Amazon invoices for the School, preparing yearly Venture Grant booklets and preparing yearly Audit letters. The candidate will also provide back-up to Accounts Payable.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or providing administrative support. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, the ability to lift and move boxes up to 10 lbs and the ability to work independently are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel are also required.
