Job Description

Data Scientist / Research Associate I

• Use clean, accessible code in Stata or other statistical programs to organize, manipulate, and link large, micro-level data sets and population-level data sets
• Prepare tables of descriptive statistics
• Perform bivariate and multivariate analyses
• Effectively communicate results and progress to investigators and project teams, through e-mails and regular project meetings
• Contribute to manuscript and grant development
• Coordinate and administer research dissemination opportunities, such as through online seminars and social media
• Work closely with students to improve research products
• Assist with one-off requests to improve research products, such as proofreading papers or grant applications, producing exploratory analytic files, provide citation management, and producing slides for a seminar presentation
• Contribute to policy coding efforts using legal epidemiology methods

Salary

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000

Grade: GGS-10

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Remote work is available for this position.

Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

A doctoral degree (PhD.) is preferred
