Job Description
Data Scientist / Research Associate I
- Use clean, accessible code in Stata or other statistical programs to organize, manipulate, and link large, micro-level data sets and population-level data sets
- Prepare tables of descriptive statistics
- Perform bivariate and multivariate analyses
- Effectively communicate results and progress to investigators and project teams, through e-mails and regular project meetings
- Contribute to manuscript and grant development
- Coordinate and administer research dissemination opportunities, such as through online seminars and social media
- Work closely with students to improve research products
- Assist with one-off requests to improve research products, such as proofreading papers or grant applications, producing exploratory analytic files, provide citation management, and producing slides for a seminar presentation
- Contribute to policy coding efforts using legal epidemiology methods
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Grade: GGS-10

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
A doctoral degree (PhD.) is preferred
