Job Description
The Trulaske College of Business is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the Manager III Business Administration position. This position is responsible for:
· Reviewing financial submissions (expense reports, requisitions, and payment requests) for all college faculty and staff to ensure all appropriate documentation is included, funding is appropriate, expense follows all college and university policies, and expense is in line with college and university’s strategic goals.
· Assisting Business and Finance Officer and Dean of the Trulaske College of Business with special college-wide projects including: redistribution of funding, recommendation of internal policies, developing internal award processes, strategize and determine funding for college priorities, and reporting for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Oversight of college-wide gift accounts and provides analysis and recommendations on use to senior leadership based on availability of funds and gift restrictions.
· Implementing the annual budgeting process for the Trulaske College of Business including: Coordinating budget meetings and assist Business and Finance Officer with review of departmental budgets for reasonableness and to determine availability of funds. Providing input on short-term and long-term fiscal plans for the college. Entering approved salary and departmental expenditure budgets in the university budgeting systems. Running budget reports in COGNOS and Workday to monitor budget progress throughout fiscal year to ensure departments are adhering to submitted budgets. Critical review of daily campus budget error report to determine changes needed to college-wide budget in relation to changes in college priorities and needs. This position provides input in the development of strategy, long-range plans, and financial planning, in collaboration with Business and Finance Officer.
· Explaining fiscal policies and procedures to assist the Trulaske College of Business staff and faculty. Serving as representative for the college and initial contact and liaison between Trulaske College of Business employees regarding questions. Communicating with campus on unique expenditures and policy clarification. Communicating with college staff, faculty, and department chairs regarding campus policies and best practices. Creating and delivering training opportunities related to fiscal policy, budget, and processing for Trulaske College of Business staff. Creating, in coordination with the Business and Finance Officer, efficiencies and improvement of internal procedures. Participating in Dean's Operating Group and other college committees to provide guidance on the fiscal feasibility of ideas.
· Supervision of 2 FTEs in the college, including the sole fiscal processor for three academic units and the operator of the Instructional Support Services (ISS) Office. Position aids in budget development for ISS, determining price, and assisting with oversight of building maintenance requests.
· Other duties as assigned.
Salary
Salary Range: $56,864-80,881 annually
Grade: GGS-011

Monday - Friday, 8a-5p with occasional evenings and/or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Peoplesoft and Workday.
