Sound Designer - School of Drama

We are seeking a part-time sound designer to provide the sound content and system design for one of our series this Fall, “I think I’m Starting to Want to be a Mother”, at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Drama. Additionally, this position will mix the production during technical and performances. This Designer will be expected to attend the technical rehearsals 6:30-11:00pm, November 7-10 and 14-17. In addition, this designer will be expected to mix the performances of the production on November 18, 20, 21, 27, 28, and 29.

Note: This position is expected to start immediately and last through the month of November 2023. The schedule for this position will be approximately 21 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years relevant experience
