The National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University (NISS) aims to rapidly increase the effective transfer of student-success innovations nationally while allowing Georgia State to develop next-level innovations to benefit students.
The Director of NISS Operations & Budget will provide strategic oversight for the day-to-day operations of the NISS, managing or supporting unit leaders, personnel, and budget administration, and ensuring effective coordination across the organization. The position supports the Executive Director in providing guidance to the strategic vision of the NISS, including all administrative functions. The Director will participate in developing strategic plans, providing relevant and actionable data to help drive continuous improvement, and collaborating with key stakeholders in implementing strategies and initiatives to achieve NISS mission and goals. They provide leadership through the daily execution of activities, deliverables, project plans, and institutional partnerships, including sound business development activities through identifying new target clients and partners, as well as building and sustaining trust-based relationships with key partners across Georgia State. Duties also include providing administrative direction and oversight of initiatives across NISS service areas to ensure operational efficiency, employee retention, instructional quality, efficient resource allocation, optimal data analysis and reporting, and process improvements, where identified.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the NISS, providing leadership, administrative direction, and oversight of initiatives across NISS service areas
· Ensure operational efficiency, instructional quality, efficient budgeting and resource allocation, optimal data analysis and reporting, and process improvements, where identified.
· Work with NISS partners and clients to deliver quality service, garnering appropriate feedback from all stakeholders to develop an effective feedback loop that identifies areas for continuous improvement
· Supervise the hiring and management of all personnel, including onboarding and continued professional development
· Assist in the development and preparation of grant proposals for NISS capacity building and program support
· Coordinate with Grants Manager to prepare and review semi-annual and annual grant reports for funders and internal/external stakeholders of the National Institute for Student Success
· Support the Executive Director and NISS Directors in the execution of their duties, ensuring sufficient resource allocation and administrative autonomy for sustained growth and success
· Facilitate communications between academic and administrative units engaged in student success initiatives across all university campuses
· Support the Executive Director in the management and oversight of other operations for the National Institute for Student Success
· Coordinate any special projects assigned by the Executive Director
· Attend meetings with project partners (e.g. GSU faculty, community partners) and, where necessary, represent the NISS at external functions, conferences and symposiums
· Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of University rules, policies, and procedures.
· Knowledge of computer equipment and information systems, such as Peoplesoft Spectrum, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, etc.
· Knowledge of business, financial management, and standard human resources practices.
· Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
· Ability to supervise and direct the work of others.

Qualifications :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and six years of supervisor/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Earned track record of success in academic and professional settings with a strong ability to work on multiple projects.
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Experience i n supervising personnel and budget management
· Strong organizational acumen and a proclivity for attention to the details
· Ability to operate effectively in a wide range of professional and social settings
