The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is looking to hire an Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications. The Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications manages the Georgia State Athletics brand and serves as the lead designer for the department's print and digital content/publications. This position is responsible for providing oversight of the department's visual identity and creative strategy.

The Marketing & Communications Assistant Director establishes the design and content for electronic communications, assists marketing campaigns, manages photography, and leads all creative video. Reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Revenue & Marketing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Serves as lead designer for all printed and digital materials at the Georgia State Athletic Department and its 16 NCAA DI teams, distributing content via Georgia State Athletics social media channels, in-venue environments, and via physical printing means.
- Serves as director of creative video and photo at the Georgia State Athletic Athletics Department and its 16 NCAA DI teams, distributing content via Georgia State Athletics social media channels and in-venue environments.
- Works closely with the Georgia State Athletics Sports Communications Department in the creation of content and templates for all 16 NCAA DI teams at Georgia State University.
- Work with communications, marketing, broadcast video and ticketing staff to ensure that content is regularly updated and refreshed on the department's social media accounts, website and in-venue video boards.
- Coordinates with Sports Communications about social media strategy and best practices.
- Periodically develop, visualize and create environmental graphics for Georgia State Athletic facilities. Archives photos and footage collected during athletic contests, media days, and other assignments.
- Aids in the supervision and recruitment of graduate assistants, student assistants, and interns.
- Travels with select teams for select events to capture for external use.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience (or a combination of education and experience).
