The Department of Public Health at Agnes Scott College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the undergraduate public health program beginning in Fall 2024. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in public health or a related discipline at the time of appointment. Applicants with PhDs in fields other than Public Health must have a master’s degree in Public Health. The ideal candidate will have prior undergraduate teaching experience, and specialize in environmental health, health policy and management, mental health, addiction, injury prevention or chronic disease. Candidates with expertise in health disparities are particularly invited to apply. The 3/2 teaching load will include some combination of the following courses: Environmental Health, Health Policy, Environmental and Public Health Communications, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Program Evaluation, Community-Based Participatory Research and Practice, and electives in the candidate’s area of expertise. We particularly invite candidates with strong quantitative skills and the ability to teach R, project management software, or ArcGIS. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to sustain a strong portfolio of research activity, and a commitment to working with a socially and economically diverse student population.
