The Physical Education and Recreation Department (PE and Rec) plays

The purpose of this position is to support a quality physical
education and recreational experience through effective and timely
maintenance, repair, improvements, renovation, and cleaning of
recreation/PE facilities. Our customers are students, faculty, and
staff of the university, campus visitors, and employees of PE and
This position will be responsible for cleaning offices, lounges,
multi-use spaces, restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, and all
activity areas. Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping,
vacuuming, dusting, mopping, polishing, cleaning light fixtures,
washing windows, cleaning carpets and upholstered chairs, using
auto scrubber on floors, picking up and emptying trash, cleaning
toilets, urinals, sinks, drains, mirrors, lockers, and walls. This
position will restock dispensers, clean and stock custodial
closets, perform minor repairs to custodial equipment, and perform
annual cleaning including, but not limited to, floor
sealing/waxing, stripping, or buffing.
This position will perform other job-related duties as required by
the supervisor including set-up and tear down of rental equipment
and may perform limited outdoor facility maintenance such as
cleaning steps, windows, and entryways.
