Job Summary
The Department of Social Sciences and Business of the UW-Milwaukee College of General Studies invites applications for one or more non-tenure track instructors in Anthropology at UWM at Waukesha for Spring 2024.
Anticipated staffing is needed for one or more of the following courses:
- CGS ANT 100 Introduction to Anthropology
- CGS ANT 104 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
- CGS ANT 107 Introduction to Biological Anthropology with
Lab
- CGS ANT 150 Food, Culture, and Identity
- CGS ANT 314 American Indian Societies and Cultures
- CGS ANT 343 Religion, Magic, and Witchcraft

Contract starts January 5, 2024. Spring classes begin January 22, 2024. New staff orientation is scheduled within the contract period.
Minimum Qualifications - Master's degree in Anthropology or a related
discipline
- Successful teaching experience at the university level
Preferred Qualifications - Terminal degree in Anthropology or a related
discipline
- Successful teaching experience with diverse student
populations.
- Evidence of use of successful student-centered teaching
strategies.
Target Salary Range
$44,000 - $46,000 (final offer will be contingent upon the knowledge, skills, and abilities presented by the finalist in relation to the position)
