School/College/Division Description
UWM College of General Studies is a great choice for regional students who want a two-year degree or a valuable start to a four-year degree. The small college atmosphere offers engaging courses in more than 200 academic majors as well as exceptional faculty and a supportive environment for students who are taking an active role in shaping their futures.

Job Summary
The Department of Social Sciences and Business of the UW-Milwaukee College of General Studies invites applications for one non-tenure track instructor in Business at the Waukesha County Campus for Spring 2024.

Anticipated staffing is needed for the following courses:
  • CGS BUS 101 Introduction to Business
  • CGS BUS 110 Personal Finance
  • CGS BUS 201 Introductory Accounting
  • CGS BUS 222 Diversity in Business
  • CGS BUS 244 International Business
  • CGS BUS 360 Principles of Marketing

    Detailed descriptions of these courses can be found at:

    Contract begins on January 5, 2024. Spring classes begin January 22, 2024. New staff orientation will be scheduled within the contract period.

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Successful teaching experience at the university level

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Successful teaching experience with diverse student populations.
  • Evidence of use of successful student-centered teaching strategies.

    Target Salary Range
    $45,000 - $48,000 (Final salary offer contingent upon skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position)
