Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Business Partnership Manager is responsible for generating revenue for WEKU by generating sales and developing new business relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Community Support, you'll work with businesses and organizations to connect them with public radio audiences through broadcast on 88.9 WEKU and digital properties at weku.org and the WEKU Mobile App.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience: 3 years proven outside sales experience

Licensure & Certifications: Must have valid state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Radio or media sales, understanding of public radio funding, business relationship building

Job Duties:

• 55% - Build relationships with potential clients through prospecting and networking with Lexington and Central Kentucky businesses. - (Essential)
• 40% - Close commissioned-based sales agreements with clients to meet sales goals to support WEKU mission. - (Essential)
• 5% - Supports department functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Marginal)
