Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University seeks applications for a faculty in the Paralegal Program at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure track, beginning on or about August 1, 2024. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and advanced courses in a variety of areas of law in the Paralegal and /or Legal Studies Programs. Teaching duties may also include regional campus and online responsibilities. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred. Candidates must hold a J.D. degree, be licensed to practice law, be eligible for admission to the Kentucky Bar Association, have previous experience supervising paralegals, and able to teach law specific to Kentucky. The candidate's undergraduate degree must be from a regionally accredited institution and the J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school.
