About our school: Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM) is an internationally accredited medical school whose graduates primarily practice in the United States and Canada. With first-time Step 1 and 2 pass rates of 98%, and a 97% residency placement rate, SUSOM is consistently ranked among the top Caribbean medical schools. It is unique among Caribbean medical schools in being accredited in all US states, all Canadian provinces, and by the Dutch accrediting agency NVAO. We are proud of our high faculty:student ratio.
About our island: The smallest island in the Dutch Caribbean, Saba has an area of just five square miles (13 square kilometers.) While a special municipality of the Netherlands—under Dutch law and benefiting from Dutch services—English is universally spoken on Saba, and its currency is the US dollar. Its pristine coral reefs and rainforests have earned Saba the nickname the “Unspoiled Queen."
