Position, Department: Application Architecture Manager, Operations
Type of Position: Full-time Salaried, Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $73,851 - $92,314 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.
Pay Grade: 59.59

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the architecture, development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of enterprise level applications and solutions for cloud-based and on-premise systems. Manages application integrations and aligns relevance of the features to the college and its culture. Advocates for application, data, and business integration to increase college efficiency and collaboration. Provides strategic leadership and direction for the enterprise application administrator team, analysis and consulting services, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure enterprise level application solutions to enhance the digital experience and meet the needs of the organization.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Services or related field.
5-7 years’ experience in multiple IT areas (technologies including databases, application servers, and web-based services) and 2–3 years of relevant architecture experience.
Advanced to expert level knowledge of application architecture, systems design, integration, performance, and scalability.
A working knowledge with integrated messaging architecture in a virtualized server environment (i.e.: Exchange Server, Cisco Unified Communication, VMware).
Experience with application programming interface (API) concepts at multiple technology levels including database, web services, and applications.
Technical training experience.
1-2 years’ experience with scripting language and process automation.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing business priorities and execute in a 24x7 environment.
Strong understanding of industry standards and architecture based on diverse vendor technology stacks.
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in business, computer science, analytics or related field.
Supervisory or management experience.
Knowledge of software design principles/practices.
Knowledge of Microsoft identity products (e.g. Microsoft Identity Manager and Azure AD Sync).
Experience with integration platforms.
Digital application integration, web services architecture, process flow, identity management system(s), SSO and Active Directory.
Knowledge of load balancing technologies.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Essential Functions: • Responsible for understanding and articulating the application layering and functionality dependencies. • Provide strategic technical leadership in the selection, development, implementation and adhering to application architecture and integration standards throughout the application lifecycle. • Analyze current and emerging technology environment to architect sustainable solutions to meet business requirements. • Maintain enterprise application portfolio inventory, develop standardized administrative support and integration platform service models to apply across enterprise application portfolio. • Responsible for managing enterprise application administrators, focused on analysis, administration, support, implementation, problem resolution, and performance optimization based on documented guidelines and operational standards. • Validate and monitor technology stack verifying requirements are met and in compliance with the technology policies and procedures. • Contributes to selection, implementation, and management of an Integrated Platform as a Service solution. • Monitors scheduled and technical on-call support 24x7x365 for mission critical products of the college.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is also responsible for the supervision and leadership of employees, which includes making employment decisions and/or recommendations, and formally evaluating performance.
