Duties and Responsibilities
Applicants will work in the Jockey Club “Peace and Awareness” Mindfulness Culture in Schools Initiative under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project aims at studying and promoting mindfulness culture in Hong Kong schools. The appointee will be responsible for the smooth operation of the project with major tasks including:
- consultation to school personnel on building a mindfulness culture in schools
- organize and deliver training and workshop to school teachers, professionals, parents and students
- plan and implement public education on mindfulness
- write up research reports and non-technical documents
- any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- a Master’s degree or above in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- a postgraduate diploma in education is preferred
- a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- good research skills in Psychology
- training and experience in teaching mindfulness to adults are preferred
- good practical skills in professional Educational Psychology and work experience in school setting are preferred
What We Offer
The appointment will commence in January 2024 on a temporary term basis until August 2025.

Those with higher qualifications and more experience will be appointed as Investigator.
