Assistant Professor Media Production

Colorado State University seeks an entry-level, tenure-track assistant professor in media production. The successful candidate will carry a 2/2 teaching load, including undergraduate skills and conceptual courses in media production. The candidate will teach relevant history, research methods, or, potentially, advanced skills courses appropriate to the candidate's background at the graduate level. Additionally, the successful candidate will advise graduate students, establish a program of research or creative work related to media production or one of the department's other fucus areas, and participate in service activities and community engagement/outreach. 

Some required qualifications include (1) a completed Ph.D., advanced ABD status, or a completed MFA in a relevant discipline by August 16, 2024; (2) a record of research with impact potential in media production, visual/science/strategic/digital communication, storytelling, or journalistic practices, and/or a record of juried creative work; (3) at least two years of full-time professional experience in media production in fields such as news, live broadcast streaming platforms, documentary, or corporate; and (4) potential for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
