Student Success Specialist - Graduate Programs

Buena Vista University has an opening for a Graduate Programs Student Success Specialist located on the Storm Lake campus. This position provides prospective and current graduate students with the information and support necessary to be successful as a BVU graduate student and works with students from inquiry through graduation. The primary responsibilities are to provide personalized information about graduate degrees, career paths, admission processes, and program requirements. D eveloping strong relationships with prospective and currently enrolled graduate students through extensive outreach and support, and proactively working to retain current students are important aspects of this position . In addition, the position will coordinate course registration and transfer course work evaluations with Program Directors.

The position requires a high degree of professionalism, collaboration, and attention to detail while providing excellent service to all stakeholders. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary along with an ability to work in multiple systems. Must also be able to develop and maintain positive and effective professional relationships.

Bachelor’s degree is required and 1 year of excellence in customer service preferred.
