Economics Assistant Professor

The Economics Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications in any area of economics for multiple tenure-track positions at the assistant-professor level, with appointment beginning July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research and teaching. Duties will include research, undergraduate/graduate teaching, mentoring, and service. We will consider applicants completing their graduate degree as well as those with experience in academic and other research settings. To be hired in at the Assistant Professor position, a completed Ph.D. in Economics is required by 1 July 2024. An initial appointment of Instructor is applied to a successful candidate who expects to complete the Ph.D. by 1 July 2025. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2023.
