Job Description:
The Department of Psychological Science at Weber State University (http://weber.edu/psychology) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Additionally, this position will support the NIOSH-funded Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) at the University of Utah (UofU), which received funding support with newly established ongoing appropriations from the Utah State Legislature. The Occupational Health Psychology program is a newly developed program by RMCOEH and the Utah Legislature to address the needs of businesses and workers. The exact RMCOEH appointment will be added to the successful candidate's professional contract and compensation package depending on the candidate's background.

This position leads the bachelor's training in OHP for undergraduates at WSU, and supports the graduate programs at the UofU. The program at the UofU is currently seeking approvals to award both Master's and Doctoral degrees. The RMCOEH is Utah's first jointly run program, with joint management by the University of Utah and Weber State University (WSU). It is one of the USA's NIOSH-sponsored 18 Education and Research Centers and involves 500 faculty.

Job Duties:
Candidates should be able to teach the following courses: I/O Psychology, Occupational Health Psychology, Health Psychology, Introductory Psychology, and Statistics/Research Methods.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements are a PhD in Psychology or a closely related field by the appointment date, July 1, 2024. Strong ABD applicants will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with an Occupational Health Psychology focus or related research program are preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in-or the potential for-building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in research and/or practicum experiences or service.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
