We invite applications for a postdoctoral research associate
position at the Department of Geography, University of Colorado
Boulder (CU Boulder), who will primarily work on a USDA-funded
project aiming to understand the impact of climate and
environmental changes on plant health. The postdoc is expected to
develop new machine learning-based species distribution methods to
model the impact of climatic and environmental variables, and
agricultural practices on the distribution of agricultural pests
The position can start immediately. Working remotely is possible,
although the ability to work on the CU Boulder campus is
preferable. The initial appointment will be for one year with the
possibility of renewal for a second year contingent on satisfactory
performance and fund availability.

- Develop innovative spatial statistics/machine learning methods
and the associated geospatial software tools to understand the
distribution of agricultural pests and diseases.
- Develop manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals and conference

researchers and stakeholders.
- Assist and develop new grant proposals on related topics to

GIScience, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Science or
