The mission of the Urban Education Research Center (UERC) is to create reliable, usable knowledge about education in urban areas with the goal of promoting excellent schooling and improving the lives, opportunities, and communities of urban residents in the Greater Kansas City community and the nation.

Job Description

At the direction of the UERC leadership team, the Sr Research Assistant will assist with evaluation design and data collection, analysis, and reporting. The successful applicant will have strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with UERC team members and external partners.

Responsibilities:

· Work with UERC leadership team to design evaluation projects



· Administer surveys and conduct focus groups



· Assist with quantitative and qualitative data analysis



· Assist with the preparation of charts, tables, graphs, or written summaries of data



· With UERC staff, present findings to external partners



· Other duties as assigned

Five years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants for this position requires a Master’s degree including relevant experience working with grants, research projects, data, and program evaluation.

Full Time/Part Time

Part-time, 38-50% FTE, approximately 15-20 hours per week, non benefit-eligible, temporary position. This grant funded position is anticipated to be a 9 month appointment.

Salary

Hourly compensation is up to $23.00/hour commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
