Summary of Job Description
The Goddard School of Business and Economics at Weber State University invites applicants for an open position in Supply Chain Management as a senior instructor to begin August 2024, or as mutually agreed. Depending on applicant interests and program needs, teaching responsibilities may be at the undergraduate and MBA levels and include in-person, online and hybrid course formats.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise and ability to teach in supply chain management, with specialization in one or more of the following areas:
- Purchasing and supply management
- Supply chain leadership, communication, negotiations, change management and soft skills development
- Logistics management including distribution and warehousing management
- Contract management
- Supply chain strategy and global supply chain management
- Supply chain analytics, information systems and technologies, and/or
- Sustainable supply chain management
Furthermore, the candidate will have commitment to experiential learning pedagogy and to service for program development and engagement with industry stakeholders.
A 4/4 teaching load is standard for instructional faculty, with possibility of reduced teaching load for significant, additional program-related service responsibilities. WSU offers a generous retirement contribution requiring no employee match.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant senior level industry experience of 10+ years, or doctorate with combined industry and academic experience totaling 10+ years
- Some teaching experience at the university level
- Demonstrated excellence in service
- Strong professional recommendations
- Interests or background in aerospace, logistics services, ecommerce, healthcare, outdoor recreation, or manufacturing industry would be a plus
