The Department of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick is recruiting for an open-rank, tenure-track (or tenured) faculty member in Organizational Theory, Strategy or Organizational Behavior areas. We seek candidates with a substantial research interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) issues at the macro-organizational, international, or micro-individual levels.
The Department of Management and Global Business has world-renowned faculty specializing in International Business; Strategy; Management of Innovation, Technology, and Knowledge; Entrepreneurship; Organizational Theory; Ethics; and Organizational Behavior. Our department also works with a talented group of Ph.D. students and hosts visiting scholars from around the world.
Rutgers Business School is part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Rutgers Business School is located in the New York City metropolitan area and spans campuses in Newark and New Brunswick. Faculty members are expected to teach on both Newark and New Brunswick campuses and are assigned an office on either campus, depending on the department’s teaching or other needs.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an active research program; the potential to be excellent in teaching undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral-level courses; interest in supervising and working with doctoral students; and willingness to engage in service activities. Applicants should have a doctoral degree granted or nearly completed (i.e., ABD).
Responsibilities:
Participate actively in research, teach undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral-level courses, supervise and work with doctoral students, and engage in service activities as required by the department and/or the school.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement
Under Policy 60.1.35 [https://policies.rutgers.edu/60-1-35-currentpdf], Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility [https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html]. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
