The Department of Economics at Weber State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position beginning in fall 2024. The position offers a competitive salary, 3/3 teaching load, and research support.

Teaching responsibilities will include upper- and lower-level courses. Special consideration will be given to those candidates with a demonstrated ability and interest in teaching courses in Economic History of the United States, International Trade, and/or Macroeconomics.

Required Qualifications:
A PhD in economics by August 2024 is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic teacher who maintains an active research agenda, has the potential or demonstrated success publishing in peer reviewed journals, mentors undergraduate students, and recruits economics majors.

Weber State University is a public, open enrollment, urban university located 35 miles north of Salt Lake City at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. WSU is predominantly an undergraduate university, but has several excellent graduate programs housed within Goddard School of Business and Economics.
