The Department of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Sciences at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences welcomes applications for a full-time time (12-month), non-tenure-track faculty position. The Occupational Therapy Program is developing a hybrid entry-level OTD program and seeks an experienced educator to collaborate in program development and serve as Field Work Coordinator (FWC). The program will be in a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Washington, D.C. GW provides a dynamic academic environment fostering strong collaborative and interprofessional efforts within the University and beyond.
The FWC will oversee, and evaluate Level I and Level II fieldwork opportunities for students. The FWC is responsible for ensuring the OTD program is compliant with ACOTE fieldwork requirements and meets program expectations. The FWC will direct fieldwork program operations with an emphasis on ongoing curriculum development and evaluation. The FWC will recruit and select fieldwork sites; mentor clinical faculty, and manage ongoing student placement and assessment activities. The FWC will engage in teaching and scholarship activities within their areas of expertise. Faculty are expected to engage in program, university, and professional service. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda that aligns with the Program’s mission, vision, and goals.
