The Opportunity:

The Assistant/Associate Director of Athletics Communications supports the Director of Athletics Communications and is responsible for supporting the external team’s goals of driving revenue, increasing attendance, and building the Embry-Riddle Athletics’ brand through:
  • Website management

  • Content creation and management

  • Social media

  • Publication design and production

  • In-season sport management and direction

  • Planning for upcoming season coverage

  • Media plans for all sports teams

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
  • Execution of game management and statistic program operation.

  • Layout and design of digital/print publications and maintenance of program website and archives.

  • Facilitate positive relationship with various media outlets and other constituencies.

  • Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion and service.

Qualifications

Required Education :
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

Prior experience in a collegiate athletics communications setting, and working knowledge of pertinent software systems, including:
  • Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop

  • InDesign

  • Premiere Pro

  • Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

  • The Automated Scorebook/Statcrew/Presto Stats/NCAA Livestats

  • Content management systems for website maintenance and others
