Position Overview
The starting salary range is $52,159 -$59,984. The initial salary
offer is commensurate with education and related work
experience.
This position reports directly to the Director of Advising &
Transfer Programs which is housed within the Advising &
Transfer Programs Department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Academic Advising team, guide and
support students through the transfer planning process including
providing information on applications, housing, registration,
financial aid, etc. at transfer institutions.
Help students analyze their interests and skills to develop
career goals that assist with the selection of a university
major.
Collaborate with College personnel and university partners to
create and promote 2+2 and Guaranteed Admission transfer programs,
aligning partner college administrations for MOU agreements,
including the maintenance of articulation and co-enrollment
agreements.
Independently plan and deliver presentations to students and
faculty/staff to maintain and strengthen a transfer culture at Lee
College.
Identifies issues that are obstacles to transfer, working with
supervisor to develop plans to address the obstacles such as
limited slots, high demand fields, resource constraints, etc.
Organize and conduct off-campus university tours and on-campus
college fairs.
Act as a liaison by working closely with the university and
college leadership teams to create and maintain a central portal
(e.g., SharePoint) for all university information and events.
Partner with other College departments to develop and maintain
transfer services, event programming, and resources.
Collect both quantitative and qualitative data related to each
student major and caseload, generate reports based on collected
data, conduct program evaluations, and report results of
evaluations, contributing to end-of-semester and annual reports on
student success, persistence, and retention.
In collaboration with the Student Employment & Career
Services department, plan, prioritize, assign, schedule, lead, and
analyze transition activities for transfer students.
Conduct assessment of student needs including monitoring and
evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery
methods and procedures as they relate to the program services.
Participate in evening and weekend special events and
activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities
Bachelor's (or higher) degree
Minimum of two (2) years experience in secondary or
post-secondary education
Must be proficient in composition. spelling. and
proofreading
Must be friendly, outgoing, and energetic, along with
exceptional customer service abilities
Must be dependable and demonstrate initiative
Exceptional computer skills including expertise 1n Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Excellent skills in oral and written communication
Solid planning, organization, time management, and filing
skills
Detail orientated. with the ability to manage and prioritize
multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Flexible. organized. and creative with the ability to switch
gears and move from one task to another with frequent interruptions
from a busy phone and constant office
Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using student information systems, especially
PeopleSoft.
Experience with student services in a community college.
