Job Details
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction, and student advising in Civil Engineering Technology, with an emphasis in structural engineering and engineering mechanics. Position will start in the Spring semester, January 2024.
Minimum education and experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology. Eight (8) years of full-time work experience in a Civil Engineering area for Bachelor of Science. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Pennsylvania or another state transferable to Pennsylvania.
Minimum abilities and skills:
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, and the public. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Sensitivity to expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the local community. Developed organizational skills. Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Broad understanding of civil engineering disciplines such as construction, geotechnical, structures, transportation, and water resources and environmental engineering.
